Projects for Beit Shalom Balevav
Initially, Gordon Rutledge was in charge of all the promotional materials and backdrops used during Beit Shalom Balevav’s events. Gradually, this responsibility switched to me as my skills in Photoshop and InDesign increased. Now, Gordon’s role is primarily as a consultant.
Beit Shalom Balevav holds multiple mini-seminars each year, in addition to holding two major events annually. Each event requires promotion and customized posters/graphics. Below, you’ll find examples of various promotional materials. The caption describes the event and credits the graphic designer on the project.

2017 and End Time Events_Slide1
Denise Rutledge brought together three elements for this mini seminar. Martin Luther represents the 500-year anniversary of the Reformation. The American flag represents America’s role in end time events and the Dome of the Rock the question of how Israel is involved. The lightning represents the conflict of differing opinions on the topic.

Beginning with a scroll as the main design element for the 2016 Seder poster, Denise Rutledge used a Jewish-themed font and a mosaic star of David as additional design elements.

Working with a close friend of Menachem Taiblum, Denise strove to produce a poster that would not be offensive to the families of Holocaust survivors.
Wendell Hartlauer shared his concept and Denise Rutledge worked with him to write and design this brochure.
Gordon Rutledge designed this bulletin flyer for a series focusing on the Jewish perspective on what ‘gospel’ means. Denise Rutledge wrote the content.
Needing a handout for the Clark County Fair, Wendell Hartlauer provided 95% of the content, while Denise created the title graphic and booklet layout.
Using elements from the Book of the Books series from July 2017, Denise created the poster graphics and wrote the ad content promoting a manuscript exhibit in Utah.
This mailer was designed as an invitation for use as both a mailer and as a bulletin insert for a Rosh Hashanah seminar. Artwork was outsourced.
Gordon Rutledge modified the flyer design for use on the DVDs produced after the seminar.
Wendell Hartlauer wrote the content, while Denise Rutledge provided the editing and layout design for this trifold brochure. Layout is compatible with an office printer.

Gordon and Denise collaborated on the layout and design of this brochure promoting a seminar during the Jewish High Holy Days. Artwork credit goes to Gordon Rutledge.
Working with content from an old 4-page bi-fold, Denise redesigned the cover and layout. She also worked with author to clarify the message. The design accommodates the limitations of Beit Shalom Balevav’s printer.
